To the west of the village les Mazelles, remains from the Gallo-Roman era, can be explored. These monuments situated on the ancient Tours – Bourges road and measuring 40 m in length and 7.5 m in height, remain an enigma to this day.
Description
On the tourist route through the Cher Valley, Thésée is the most important Gallo-Roman site in the Loir-et-Cher with, among other treasures, a monument dating from the 2nd century, Les Maselles. For safety reasons, guided visit only (at fixed times).
Also, nearby: one can find the Gallo-roman site of Pouillé. This temple is dedicated to the water godess (maybe that of the Cher) for its capacity to heel.
