Le Roman de Renard, Raboliot, Rémi des Rauches… The man who loved nature and the Loire river above all else left in literature unforgettable novels. In Saint-Denis-de-l’Hôtel, where he lived “dans une vieille maison rêveuse” (in an old dreamy house), a new scenography presents the life and work of Maurice Genevoix.

Large canvas panels, videos, audio recordings on a tablet … everything to offer you a more modern version and a different approach to the writer’s work. 5 themes describe some facets of the academician: the man, the war, the terroir, the Loire and “Les Vernelles”, name of the house which still belongs to the Genevoix family.
