The Tour Blanche

Built in 1195, the Tour Blanche (White Tower) is the key monument in the town, its 27-metre high keep with elegant architecture, was skilfully refurbished in 2013 and offers an amazing panorama over the town and its surroundings.
Description
A poetic and contemporary interpretation with a 2014 layout, of one of the oldest monuments in the Berry. This fortifying structure which proudly overlooks the town was built over 800 years ago, at a time when Philippe Auguste and Richard the Lionheart were fighting each other in the Berry. The name of the latter is forever associated with Blanche de Castille who offered the town to the Kingdom of France by marrying Louis 8th. Breath-taking views over the town are guaranteed from the top.
