In the morning or in the evening, about twenty kilometres from Chartres, take your place in the basket of one of the Air Pégasus hot-air balloons. You’ll gently leave the ground and rise into the air, the only sound being the steady puffing of the burners. Your first discovery will be the Château de Maintenon. You’ll fly over the château of Madame de Maintenon, secret wife of King Louis XIV. The surrounding gardens and the unfinished aqueduct are a magical sight!

The meeting point is at the Raimbault-Pineau wine estate. Vent d’Anges pilots will be on hand to tell you all about the history of the region and the special characteristics of its world-renowned wines.
Sancerre, standing on its famous peak, the villages and hamlets and, of course, the famous vineyards and the Loire River are revealed to you as the winds blow. FLYING OVER THE BRENNE IN A HOT-AIR BALLOON
The Brenne is known as the ‘Land of a Thousand Ponds’. To admire this astonishing mosaic of water, take off from one of Art Montgolfière’s two take-off sites. The wind will carry you over the magnificent landscapes of the Brenne Regional Nature Park. Ponds, moors, forests… from the gondola, the view of this nature, rich in exceptional flora and fauna, is incredible! For an hour, you’ll let yourself be carried up into the air, spellbound by the spectacle before you.
After admiring this unspoilt natural environment from the air, explore it on foot or by bike. In the hamlet of Le Bouchet, the Maison du Parc is the ideal place to start. You can even sample delicious local specialities such as carp fries and Pouligny-Saint-Pierre bread….
