Horseback riding in the Pays de Chinon – 4 day hike

Come and discover the landscapes and rich heritage of this small corner of Touraine, Chinon and its surrounding countryside, as well as some of the nuggets of nearby Anjou. The proposed itineraries will take you through exceptionally diverse landscapes: Holm oak forest, moorland of the Roman camp, cereal plains, banks of the Vienne and Loire rivers, Puys du Chinonais, Bocage du Véron, Bertignolles? many of which are classified as Natura 2000 sites. Along the way, you'll discover an impressively rich heritage: the abbeys of Seuilly and Fontevraud, small private manor houses, mills, wash-houses, dolmens, troglodytic dwellings and magnificent villages such as Candes Saint-Martin and Montsoreau.
