River route punctuated by 17th century structures (former Henri IV canal).
Three names for the same canal: Canal de Briare, Canal Henri IV or Canal de Loire en Seine. Built in the 17th century, it is composed of 32 locks over a distance of 54 km. It crosses the city with a lock in the Loire, known as the Baraban, a marina in the city center, and three locks that allow the junction with the lateral canal to the Loire.
