Etang du Puits (pond)

The southern part of the site, on the Cher side, offers from the dike a magnificent panoramic view of this calm water, barely streaked with the wake of sailboats or motor boats. Nature occupies a preponderant place there with essences of Sologne : oaks, chestnuts, firs, birches, willows, brooms, eagle ferns, calune heather, etc. This vegetation shelters a diverse wild fauna and one can in particular observe a great variety of birds such as gray herons, crested grebes, cormorants, mallard ducks, coots, mute swans, black-headed gulls …
