La Pelouse et le Marais de Roussy

In an environment of large cereal crops, the Arnon valley cuts into the Champagne plateau, bringing a pleasant diversity of landscapes to the region. The valley bottom is now largely occupied by corn crops and poplar groves. However, there are still some very interesting natural islets in some places. For example, St-Georges-sur-Arnon has a limestone hillside of about 12 hectares overlooking a marsh of about 20 hectares. These two natural areas are known to be home to remarkable species which give it great ecological interest.
