L’Espace Naturel Sensible : « Bec d’Allier »

At the confluence of the Allier and the Loire, the Bec d'Allier site is with dry sandy lawns, quackgrass meadows, fruit trees and alluvial woodlands.
The lawn areas of Corynephore and Longleaf Fescue, two typical habitats of more than 30 hectares. It is very rare to find this near this part of the Loire, to benefit from such a grouping of relict Loire lawns. Exploited for sand extraction in the 1970s, the site is now dedicated to nature preservation, discovery, walking and relaxation.
