Theatre in the heart of the city of La Châtre, George Sand country, for your shows, seminars, conferences, cinema, etc.
Renovated in 1994 by the municipality, the Maurice Sand hall is now used all year round by the Lux cinema (with a break in July), from September to June by the Maurice Sand Theatre Association, in July by the Nohant Festival for concerts and master classes, and as required by the cultural service.
The Maurice Sand Theatre offers 205 seats: 115 in the orchestra, 78 in the balcony and 12 in the baskets (boxes located on the sides of the balcony). Most of the shows are presented with numbered tickets.
